Hi,

Does anyone get the korean channels from Direct TV? I currently have the Korean Satellite through Dish Network and am looking at switching over to Direct TV for their Korean channels. I'm wondering if they have any programming in english or english subtitles. I called them directly and no one was able to answer me!

Thanks!

yes i do have the koreandirect package and sbs shows about two dramas at a time with english subs. when one ends it shows another but so far there's never more than 2 on. directv also has a koreandirect two package which includes sbs plus along with the other four channels and sbs plus shows many dramas with eng subs. right now its showing, the lover (also on sbs), single world (also on sbs), save the last dance for me, my love, a couple of those historical palace dramas, and a couple more dramas that i don't watch. basically most of the dramas on sbs plus have subtitles. Smile

You can get Korean tv over the internet if you are outside Korea . . .you have to jump threw a few hoops, do a tiger flip and a kabuki dance, but you can still get it. What show do you want to watch meimei?

someone lied to you then. go to directv's website and you can look at their international programming packages and there's a number you can call to order it. here's the koreandirect page http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/global/secondaryIndex.jsp?assetId=1200025

^ oh i'm sorry. i assumed u were in north america. that sucks they can't offer more channels to latin american customers. well how fast is your internet connection? have u ever heard of gom tv? if you download the korean version of gom player you can watch gom tv's streaming korean shows on the internet. i watched gom tv a couple times but my internet is so slow that it kept biffering every five seconds. so i don't mess with it anymore. but there's like all kinds of stuff on gom tv though i don't think anything with english subs. another option is clubbox. u can find korean tv shows and movies to download there and lots of times with subtitles.
