haha, hadn't noticed that till you pointed it out. that's kinda funny. but really, i think it's just because of how old this thread is. just when ya think it has faded into the background, BAM it comes back swinging for a few more good posts.

Alright..so do i keep this thread going or do i start a new one? If i don't hear a vote for a new one, i'll keep this one going. I'm at work at the moment so I can't do a grammar post just yet. I'm sure everyone will be waiting on pins and needles in anticipation for what I've got planned. And you should be. K, actually don't get your hopes up. Wouldn't want to let anyone down. But I do have a good topic planned, one that will probably span several posts to cover sufficiantly.

k...oops. kinda forgot i posted that and so here we are 2 months later almost and still no grammar post from me, my bad. and actually, since posting that previous post i found out that the grammar i was going to cover is no longer used...so that kinda let the wind out of my sails. So needless to say, i had to come up with something else. Nothing too exciting, but i figured i owed everyone something since it's been so long.

¾Æ½Ã´Ù½ÃÇÇ/º¸½Ã´Ù½ÃÇÇ:
As you know/As you can see. Keep in mind, these phrases are not used in your everyday speech. They are very formal, and reserved for public addresses and writing. But you might here them, so i figured what they hey.
ex: ¾Æ½Ã´Ù½ÃÇÇ(º¸½Ã´Ù½ÃÇÇ) Àú´Â ¹Ì±¹ »ç¶÷ÀÔ´Ï´Ù.
As you already know (as you can plainly see) I am an American.

Something similar...but different.
¾Æ½Ã¸é¼/¾Ë¸é¼:
This will be easiest to explain through an example.
Àú´Â ¾ÆÀ̰¡ ½È¾îÇϴ°Š¾Æ½Ã¸é¼ ¿Ö ¾ÆÀ̸¦ °¡¸£Ä¡¶ó°í ±×·¯¼¼¿ä?
Why are you telling me to teach kids when you know that I hate them.

It is used to state something that the listener is already fully aware of. It can also be thrown on at the end of a statement to kind of be a jab.
³»°¡ ¿Ö °¡? ³ÊÀÇ ºÎ¸ð´ÔÀº ³ª¸¦ ½È¾îÇϴ°Š¾Ë¸é¼

It can also be used in a positive context.
After seeing you check out a girl your friend says,
°¡: ´©±¸¾ß? ¾Æ´Â »çÀ̾ß?
³ª: ¾Æ´Ï. ±×³É~
°¡: ¿¡ÀÌ~ ¾Ë¸é¼. ´©±ºµ¥?
³ª: ¾Æ ¸ð¸¥´Ù´Ï±î~!

Happy studying.
