Traveling alone eh? Been there. And actually Korea is a very friendly place when it comes to tourists. Example, I was trying to find a bookstore and so i stopped a guy who was walking in the opposite direction if he knew where the closest one would be. He said he knew and would take us there. Turned around and walked the way he just came for about 2 blocks and took us right to the door. Then he said, "sorry, this is as far as i can take you. i'm late for work so i must go now." and turned around and walked/ran back the way we just came. Very friendly people. They are also very patient with you in the 'don't speak much korean' issue as well.
as far as "have to see places"...ÇØ¿îµ¥ is not bad (go at night for a good night shot, during the day if you plan to go in the ocean), there is a walking path that runs along the ocean which is pretty fun to walk. umm...°æÁÖ is always a tourist regular...°øÁÖ is really fun if you go to the temple there, lots of big-a buddha statues there. It all depends on what cities you will be in, how long you'll be there and how much time you want to spend wandering around on buses/trains. public transport is readily available, but can get expensive if you don't plan your trip well. i've traveled and lived there quite a bit, so if you have any other questions, let me know.

| I went to kyeongju in winter time and it was great, it was december so not real cold yet but not many tourists so pretty much you can enjoy everything unimpeded. I stayed at a temple called °É°É»ç (I think) as part of a temple stay experience, very cool. |

Just a quick side note, it should be ~ŵµ´Â ¾î¶»°Ô µË´Ï±î?
¾î¶»°ÔÀԴϱî doesn't work. |

Thanks for the info and tips, everybody!!
I'll make some research about the places everyone said so I can make some planning.
About the period, I was thinking about going for 5 or 6 days top, since I don't have much money.
MeeNam,
I'm glad to hear that Koreans are kind with foreigners. That surely makes travelling much easier and more fun.
I was planning to go to Seoul and Pusan only, but if there is another place that I should be visiting, please give me a heads up.
Do you think I should plan in detail to avoid spending too much money on transportation??

within seoul you can get to everywhere you want to go using the subway.. just buy a prepaid card in a convenience store anywhere and that will save you a little bit of cash over buying a one way ticket everywhere you go.
in busan the subway system is much more limited, so i would definitely plan out where you want to go and see if you can find a bus route that goes where you want to go. i didnt plan ahead so i ended up taking a taxi most places, which got expensive when you are going from place to place sight seeing. |
