Hi,
I would like to make a suggestion about signatures.
Currently when you update your signature, the new signature is displayed only when you post a new message with the updated signature attached. The signature(s) you used with earlier posts is (are) unaffected by the change.
Personally, I would prefer if signatures were 'uniform'. That is, if you update your signature, (a) you need not post a new message for others to see your updated signature because (b) all signatures in earlier posts appear the same and are updated with each change. If you choose to delete your signature in your profile, the signatures used with earlier post are removed as well.
Anyone who would prefer this way of handling signatures too? What are your thoughts, admin?
Kind regards,
gibbor |

I agree. If my signature were suddenly attached to all my posts instead of just the recent ones, maybe my website traffic would double...
Please take a moment to visit my Korea website (seldom updated these days)
...and my site on Taiwan, where I am living right now! |

Thanks for the suggestion, and sorry about taking so long to get back to you. I was out of the country (again) and only had time to check in on the forums a handful of times.
Changing the behavior of the signatures would require modifying the php code in the software. Unfortunately, because I'm not a programmer/scripter, I'm not about to attempt something like that. Additionally, these forums currently run on software that has recently been upgraded. Once the final versions are complete, we will be switching over to those new forums, so doing code-level work on this old software would be almost pointless.
Hope this doesn't sound like bad news. The future upgrades will make these forums much easier to use and will include a lot more features.

Don't worry, have been pretty busy as well lately so that's no problem at all. By the way, I can live with the way signatures are currently handled. It's just that I'm kind of used to having just one signature as on some other forums and personally prefer it that way.

Sounds more like good news to me.
Thank you,
